Walkers Tours Takes Sri Lanka to Centre Stage at the 21st IMEX Frankfurt

From 20 to 22 May 2025, IMEX Frankfurt celebrated its 21st edition, turning Messe Frankfurt into the focal point of the global meetings and events sector. The show welcomed more than 13,000 industry professionals, surpassing previous attendance figures and confirming the sector’s robust rebound. Walkers Tours had the opportunity to be part of this landmark gathering, showcasing Sri Lanka’s vibrant offerings to an international audience.

The appointment system enabled a record 67,000 prescheduled meetings, about 10 percent more than in 2024, creating a strong sales pipeline for the months ahead. Education remained centre stage as the Inspiration Hub and companion theatres delivered over 150 free sessions on AI, experiential design, sustainability and wellbeing. A new People and Planet track kept net zero goals in view, while networking favourites such as Association Focus and the sunrise IMEXrun deepened professional connections.
