A Journey of Gratitude: Ms. Deepthie Rajapakse’s Heartfelt Contributions to Sri Lanka

At Walkers Tours, we are honored to have lifelong connections with clients like Ms. Deepthie Rajapakse. She has stayed in touch with us since the late 90s, and her first experience traveling with Walkers Tours was in 2011, when she visited Sri Lanka with her son and daughter-in-law. Since then, we’ve had the privilege of bringing her travel dreams to life.

Ms. Rajapakse frequently expresses her appreciation for our chauffeur-guides, noting that “it is the chauffeur-guide who makes or breaks the tour.” For three consecutive years (2022-2024), she has traveled with our esteemed chauffeur-guide, Mr. Prasanna Kumara, and has already confirmed her next visit with us in 2025. She values his professionalism and courteous nature, qualities that reflect the high standards we uphold at Walkers Tours.

In addition to her travels, Ms. Rajapakse has contributed generously to Sri Lankan communities. She raised funds in Ontario, Canada, through donation-based talks, plant sales, and local community support to buy supplies for a school in Sri Lanka. Partnering with Cinnamon Lodge in Habarana, she funded school supplies for 47 children from low-income families. This initiative, led by Mr. Murfad Shariff, General Manager of Cinnamon Lodge, provided essential materials to students at Kumbukwewa Primary School.

In September 2024, she personally delivered the supplies to the school, with our team at Walkers Tours assisting in creating a memorable experience for the children. We are proud to be part of Ms. Rajapakse’s journey and appreciate her dedication to giving back to Sri Lanka.
