Walkers Tours Hosts Another Insightful “Roots & Routes” Session on Lesser-Known Attractions of Sri Lanka

Walkers Tours successfully held the fourth session of the “Roots & Routes – Destination Deep Dives with Experts” series on 19th November 2025, focusing on Lesser-Known Attractions of Sri Lanka. The session was conducted at our Wisdom Training Room and brought together over 25 enthusiastic participants from various departments across the company.

The session was conducted by Udaya Sri Sarvajanaka, a seasoned National Tourist Guide Lecturer and naturalist whose expertise in biodiversity, community-based tourism, and environmental stewardship added immense value to the discussion. Participants were introduced to a range of hidden travel gems, with a special focus on lesser-explored routes and attractions across the Western and Sabaragamuwa Provinces.

From cultural sites tucked away in remote forest patches to scenic trails, cascading waterfalls, and rural experiences often overlooked in mainstream itineraries, the session broadened perspectives on how we can enrich guest experiences through unique, sustainable, and authentic journeys.

participants shared their views stating that the session was deeply engaging and opened new avenues for itinerary enhancement, content creation, and storytelling, strengthening our collective commitment to promoting responsible and meaningful travel experiences in Sri Lanka.

Walkers Tours looks forward to continuing the Roots & Routes learning series, bringing more expert knowledge to inspire our teams and elevate destination understanding.
