Day 01
Arrival – Negombo
You will be welcomed with flower garlands at the arrival hall of the airport by the Walkers Tours team and escorted to the vehicle to reach your next destination.

Arrive at the hotel and check-in to your accommodation.

Spend the evening at leisure by the beach.

Arrival – Negombo
Day 02 | 03
Negombo - Kitulgala
Leave Negombo for Kitulgala where you will spend the next 2 days engaging in various adventurous water and land-based activities.

Negombo – Kitulgala | Travel Distance: 100 km | Approximate travel time: 2hrs 40min

You can plan with your teammates which activities that you would like to do and our coordinator will assist you with the booking of activities.

Optional Activities:

White water rafting and canoeing: USD 20 per person

White Water Rafting in the picturesque Kelani River, covering 5 major rapids and 4 minor rapids. The distance covered is around 5 KMs. The river and its surrounding will make you feel enchanted, with a memorable Experience during your White-Water Rafting Tour in Kitulagala.

Land trekking: USD 30 per person

Water fall trekking gives a close view of incredible scenery of a waterfall. Trekking is mainly focused in view of stunningly beautiful waterfalls hidden inside the rain forests in Kitulgala.

Waterfall abseiling: USD 25 per person

Enjoying the view of a stunning Waterfall is already amazing but abseiling takes this adventure far beyond the limits. The intense and powerful feeling of the water combined with the fact that you are hanging on a rope and that there is nothing but water beneath and above, will give adrenalin push like you have never experienced before. Waterfall Abseiling is an ideal adventure activity to test your confidence.

Day 04
Kitulgala – Kandy
Check-out from the campsite after breakfast and head to hill capital of Kandy.

Kitulgala – Kandy | Travel Distance: 75 km | Approximate travel time:2 hours

The last capital of the Sri Lankan kings which is a world heritage site. The name Kandy conjures visions of splendor and magnificence. Many of the legends, traditions and folklore are still lovingly kept alive. Drive around the Kandy Lake built by the last Sinhala king Sri Wickrama Rajasinghe in 1806 and explore the vibrant city.

Visit the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic: USD 07 per person

Sri Dalada Maligawa or the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic is a Buddhist temple in the city of Kandy, Sri Lanka. It is located in the royal palace complex of the former Kingdom of Kandy, which houses the relic of the tooth of the Buddha. Since ancient times, the relic has played an important role in local politics because it is believed that whoever holds the relic holds the governance of the country. Kandy was the last capital of the Sri Lankan kings and is a World Heritage Site mainly due to the temple.

Day 05
Kandy
After a day at the capital now it’s time for you to move toward the outskirts of Kandy to live like a local!

Kandy – Digana | Travel Distance: 25 km | Approximate travel time:1 hour

Tamarind Gardens provides the community with training and employment opportunities in hospitality. The dairy cows and garden provide vital nutrition to households and an income source for the social enterprise and others have been employed doing various tasks for the farm and guesthouse. Tamarind Gardens has been working on a project to supply community members with water tanks to capture rainwater and store water during the dry season. The new garden project increases access to nutritional food, as well as increasing the supply of local food. This 10-acre farm provides a necessary space for community development projects that move the village towards a sustainable future.

During your experiential stay at Tamarind Garden take part in of the unique activities offered by the property owners who are passionate about uplifting the livelihood of the local community.

Optional: Activity package cost: USD 30 per person

Experience the Typical Village Style Cooking by handpicking your own vegetables from the organic vegetable farm and partake in cooking with a local chef at the property.

Women empowerment project Sewing cooperative as an additional source of income, book upcycling, cow dung drying and packaging and upcycling of rice bags are a few activities you may witness during your visit.

CSR Project with a local rural school or educational institute Visit a rural school in the vicinity and engage with the local children. Conduct a short interactive English lesson.

A scrumptious local lunch will be served at the Tamarind Gardens

After an exciting day at Tamarind Gardens drive back to the city late in the evening.

Day 06
Kandy - Colombo
Leave for the commercial capital of Sri Lanka after breakfast at the hostel/guesthouse.

Colombo is the business and commercial center and the new capital is Sri Jayawardhanapura Kotte, which is only a few miles away. Colombo was only a small seaport, which came into prominence in the 16th Century with the arrival of the Portuguese in 1505 and the development of it as a major Harbour during the British period and became the capital in 1815 after Kandy was ceded to the British.

  • Cancellations within 01 to 06 days of the arrival date – 100% of the value of the booking
  • Cancellations within 7 to 13 days of the arrival date – 50% of the value of the booking
  • Cancellations beyond 15 to 30 days of the arrival date – No cancellation will be applied
