Level 1 – All travellers must be accommodated in a Level 1 hotel until their first PCR test result is out. For those travellers who will travel in a bio bubble must continue their stay in Level 1 hotel/s. Travellers exiting the Level 1 hotel after their negative on arrival PCR can choose to stay at a 3 star and above hotels of their choice from the given list of approved safe and secure certified hotels. However, they may not return to Level 1 hotels (bio bubble) after staying at non-Level 1 hotels. Guests are permitted to enjoy facilities within the hotel premises in accordance with covid safety measures.
Level 2 – Provides accommodation for travellers wishing to be quarantined in Sri Lanka. Guests are only permitted to enjoy facilities within their room.
Safe & Secure Accommodation – Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority (SLTDA) registered hotels / properties which have been subject to an audit on the execution of safety measures and acquired recognition as a Safe & Secure certified hotel. Travellers may opt to stay at these hotels once they exit their level 1 hotel or once they exit the bio-bubble.
SLTDA registered hotels – Those which have obtained the SLTDA registration only. Travellers may opt to stay at these hotels once they exit their level 1 hotel or once they exit the bio-bubble.
