Kala Pola: Sri Lanka’s Premier Open-Air Art Fair

Kala Pola: Sri Lanka’s Premier Open-Air Art Fair

Kala Pola is Sri Lanka’s leading open-air art exhibition and sale, held annually in Colombo for over three decades under the patronage of the George Keyt Foundation, in association with John Keells Holdings PLC.

Inspired by European open-air art fairs such as Montmartre in Paris, Kala Pola provides a vital platform for local painters and sculptors to showcase their work, connect with audiences, and build sustainable artistic careers. Over the years, it has firmly established itself as the country’s premier open-air art fair.

The 2025 edition saw 394 registered artists and sculptors and welcomed over 10,600 visitors, including locals, international guests, collectors, professionals, and students, in a lively atmosphere of art, music, and entertainment.

The 2026 edition of Kala Pola will be held on Sunday, 8 February 2026, along Ananda Coomaraswamy Mawatha (Green Path), Colombo 07.

The event is funded and implemented by John Keells Foundation, in line with its CSR vision of “Empowering the Nation for Tomorrow.” Further details are available at www.kalapola.lk.
