Nature Walk Thalangama – Afternoon
Explore one of Colombo’s best urban wetlands with an afternoon nature walk around the historical Thalangama Lake, built during the era of King Parakramabahu VI (1551-1547 AD) for paddy cultivation. Witness an array of birds and insects in their natural habitat in the heart of metropolitan Colombo. Observe majestic creature such as the Pied Kingfishers as they hover over the water in search of fish and purple herons gliding over the water and Birds of prey soaring above the clouds in search of their game.
Be picked up from your hotel in Colombo and visit Thalangama Lake at 1430 in time to meet your guide as he takes you on a relaxing walk around the majestic lake. Learn about the various endemic birds and wildlife that have made the surrounding are their home. The tour will be completed by 1700 and you will be dropped back at your hotel.
