Serenity in Nuwara Eliya
Find your peace by Gregory Lake

Located in the centre of Nuwara Eliya, Sri Lanka, Gregory Lake, also known as Lake Gregory, is a charming man-made reservoir. It was built in 1873 under Governor Sir William Gregory during the British colonial era with the intention of expanding the town and producing power.

Today, this sprawling lake, covering approximately 225 acres, is a vibrant hub for recreation. You can enjoy a variety of activities, including peaceful boat rides (paddle, swan, or motorboats), exhilarating jet skiing, and pony rides along the shores. The well-maintained surrounding park offers paved walkways perfect for leisurely strolls or cycling, and it’s a popular spot for picnics amidst the misty hills and lush greenery, providing a serene escape.
