Ella Rock, a prominent peak in Sri Lanka’s central highlands, offers a rewarding hiking experience. Starting from Ella town, the moderate to challenging trek typically takes 3-5 hours round trip. The trail winds through scenic landscapes, including active railway tracks, lush tea plantations, and dense forests, providing a diverse and immersive journey.
Upon reaching the summit, hikers are greeted with breathtaking panoramic views of the “Ella Gap”, a vast valley stretching towards the southern coast, and surrounding mountains like Little Adam’s Peak.
