Hot Air Balloons Our Hot Air Ballooning in Sri Lanka started in December 2003 and completed our first six months of operations in May 2004. Adventure Asia Int. is the first and only commercial operation in the country and flies with an Airline Operators Certificate (AOC) issued by Civil Aviation. White Water Rafting Kitulgala was the film location of David Lean’s masterpiece “The Bridge On The River Kwai”. Today Kitulgala is an excellent area for adventure activities including Mountain Biking, Birding and of course White Water Rafting. Our White Water Rafting programme is a 01 to 02 hour excursion on the Kelani River. The short but exhilarating excursion is ‘Level 03’ and is suitable for most people between the ages of 08 and 60.
