The Company offers a unique mix of programmes from customized “packaged” tours to special interest excursions conducted by multilingual tour guides. The professional staff of Walkers Tours can plan and operate a comprehensive range of “Individual” tours or “Group” tours, Shore Excursions for Cruise Ships, Incentive tours or Honeymoon packages and vacations that include excitement, adventure, sport, culture, education, wellness, nature or simply leisure – by the beach, in rural country or in the mountains.

Owned by Sri Lanka’s leading conglomerate – the John Keells Group, Walkers Tours has the advantage of being supported by the group’s two hotel brands “Cinnamon” and “Chaaya” which together own and manage eight resort hotels in prime tourist locations such as Kandy, the ancient cities, Bentota, Hikkaduwa and Trincomalee, consisting of over 1800 beds. The Group owns the two most sought after luxury 5 star Hotels in Colombo, the Cinnamon Grand and Cinnamon Lakeside which have between them, over 1,750 beds. It also owns and manages four Island Resorts in the Maldives.

To service its clients from over 40 countries, Walkers Tours operates the largest tourist transport fleet in the island, consisting of cars, mini vans, mini and large coaches - in fact, it is the only Sri Lankan company to use European Volvo coaches. In addition, to handle clients more effectively in the neighbouring countries of Maldives and India, the company has two subsidiaries - Leisure Maldives (Pvt) Ltd, and Serene Holidays (Pvt) Ltd, India. Two other business units in Sri Lanka which cater to specific segments are “Nature Odyssey” which provides Nature, Adventure and Sports packages and “John Keells Conventions”, which is a Professional Conference and Event Organizer.
